FINISH your WORK

Son, I want you to warn My people it’s time to do the work. Son, it’s time for my people to finish the work- what GOD has called you to do.

⏤ the LORD to Rod Pickens | 2021

What happens when you do not do your work?

If life is just a matter of survival or pursuing a certain lifestyle or working towards retirement, then we would have missed the mark of why we are here on earth. As Christian, you are here for a purpose - we are called to fulfil a certain mission that GOD has entrusted us with. Each is given gifts and talents; we are to use them for His Glory. We may not see the full picture while here on earth, but someday when we get to Heaven, we will. There is a dateline to everything:

“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work."   ⏤ John 9:4

In a message given to Rod Pickens, The LORD explains:

" How many people were supposed to be saved and come to me when you complete your work? And now, because of the absence of your work, there is an absence and shortage of people."

Lately, have you been so busy with your work and career that you have forgotten GOD's calling on your life? Not everyone is called to be an evangelist, but everyone is called to play his/her part in GOD's grand scheme of the Kingdom - each according to his/her capabilities. You may be called to start something new that will bring people to the knowledge of GOD, or start a food program for the homeless... etc. Whatever your calling is, do it today and finish it off. Do not put it off while there is still opportunity.

Many have worked hard to survive, but GOD has called you to live for your mission.

Think about it: What happen if JESUS had never completed His mission?

When Ron Wyatt discovered the Ark of the Covenant in 1982, it was buried right underneath the bedrock where JESUS was crucified in Calvary. During the excavation, he also found some blood stains right above the ceiling of the cavern where the Ark of the Covenant was hidden.

[ A sample of the bloodstain was later analyzed in a lab in Israel, which confirmed to be the actual blood of Jesus Christ. ]

Behold, GOD's masterpiece unfolding before our very eyes... The cross of JESUS stood at the exact spot where the Ark of the Covenant is, right above it. The Bible tells us when CHRIST died, the earth quaked,  opening the ground beneath where His cross stood. His Precious blood flows along a crack, towards the Mercy seat on the Ark of the Covenant. This is an act of GOD - the Son of GOD died for us and His Precious Blood atones for our sins and the sins of all humanity. And all this is possible because JESUS completed His work.

We live in a special time - with the discovery of the Ark of the Covenant almost 2000 years after the death and resurrection of JESUS, we can now see the big picture of the significance of the LORD's mission, and the importance for Him to complete it.

Can you imagine what would happen if JESUS gave up half way and never completed His mission? Although He endured endless torments, unimaginable sufferings during His passion, He nevertheless pressed ahead and persevered until the end. He submitted to the Eternal Father’s will in complete obedience.

Had He not completed His work, our salvation would have been at stake. Additionally, He is also setting a good example for all of us - His followers - to follow; to persevere faithfully in our mission which the LORD has assigned us.

Every believer has a mission in life. We need to seek GOD asking Him to reveal what our mission is. Therefore, if something is important enough for GOD to task us with, it must be important for us to do it regardless of what we may think or feel about it.

"This calls for an attitude of submission [surrender]," John Paul Jackson elucidates. "We will only submit when we are close to Him. And that is the key in JESUS. Doing it for the good of the Kingdom. I will do what GOD asks me with gladness because I know GOD would not have me do it if it wasn't important in the grand scheme of the Kingdom."

Consider this also: If Paul the Apostle had never completed his mission to evangelise the Gentiles in Asia Minor, then a large chunk of the New Testament in the Bible would not have materialized. It also means that Christians today would not have Paul's work - through his writings - to edify us. This is only possible because he faithfully persevered - with GOD's help - and completed his mission and writings.

The LORD will lead and guide our way. He only asks for our cooperation and willingness to work with Him. Be mindful that when we do our work, we do not do it on our own but together with Him [and not for Him]. GOD - in His infinite wisdom - knows why something needs to be done in the grand scheme of things, even though we may not fully understand it.
