The Holy Rosary

Hail Mary, most pure, conceived without sin, pray for us

The Rosary is a powerful, time-tested weapon against the kingdom of darkness. It was taught by the Blessed Virgin Mary to St. Dominic in the 13th Century. It is very relevant to the times we are living now in these Last Days, as the world is becoming more chaotic and lawlessness widespread. St. Pio of Pietrelcina - a Capuchin friar and mystic from Italy who had a special devotion to the Rosary, encourage the faithful to devote time to pray the Rosary, saying:

“Love the Madonna and pray the Rosary, for her Rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world today.”

A powerful spiritual weapon

Father Gabriel Amorth - an exorcist based in Rome - revealed that during an exorcism, the devil confessed that, "every Hail Mary is like a blow on my head. If Christians knew how powerful the Rosary was, it would be my end."

In a separate revelation, the Eternal Father revealed to a group of believers that, "When you pray Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now ...., the Blessed Mother comes instantly to your side to pray with you. And she does not come alone. She brings angels with her. And not just one or two for she is the Queen of Angels, so choirs of angels come with her. And she and Jesus are joined at the heart and cannot be separated so she brings Jesus with her. And Jesus cannot be separated from the Trinity so He brings the Father and the Holy Spirit with Him. "

Inspired with this confidence, we should recite it everyday. The prayer is centered on the events in the life of JESUS and His Blessed Mother, addressing the Eternal Father, the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Most Holy Trinity. Reciting faithfully the Rosary brings forth much grace to the believers. GOD has anointed Mary to become the mother of His Son JESUS, and also to be the 'spiritual Mother of all peoples'. The LORD Himself entrusted Mary to look after us when He said to her before He passed on, "Woman, behold your son."

This should help us understand and recognise the significance of her role and responsibilities as one that comes directly from the LORD Himself; thus, it is biblical.

A powerful intercessor | to Jesus through Mary

Fr Chad Ripperger - an exorcist - in a testimony revealed that Mary's intercession carries more weight that all the prayers of the saints combined. She is an extraordinary intercessor, marked by her selflessness that never considers the personal cost of her sacrifices for God. Not even once. This unwavering devotion of heart establishes her as a formidable advocate before the Throne of God.

We, humans have a tendency to count the personal cost when something involves our personal sacrifice - even in our relationships or when we reach out to those in need. Often we would ask ourselves: What's in it for me? But not Mary.

This truth is revealed in the following encounter between Fr Ripperger and some demons:

Mary is also the bride of the Holy Spirit. Wherever she is, the Holy Spirit is there also. In a private revelation to Fr Jim Blount [SOLT], the LORD revealed to him that:

You cannot enthrone Jesus Christ as LORD until you enthrone His Mother as Queen.

This enthronement and acceptance of Mary as Queen of Heaven must happen at the heart level. Her role is significant in the grand scheme of the Kingdom. Our Lady will crush the head of the serpent - the devil - with her heel; in particular, through the power of the Rosary.

She witnessed the formation of the early Christian church, during the time of the apostles. She also bore witness to the entire life of JESUS and His earthly ministry. She is not only the Mother of GOD, Queen of Heaven, Queen of the angels, but also the Mother of the Church.

We - believers of JESUS, the CHRIST- are the Church. We are her spiritual children, just as she is our spiritual Mother. She is the Mother of all peoples and also a model of discipleship for all Christians.

Just as a mother fulfils a specific function in a family which only a mother could fulfil, so is the Mother of GOD. She understands our needs, our trials, our spiritual condition and she also understands the heart of her Divine Son. Mary always leads all her spiritual children to JESUS. She also shows us the way of Christian charity by her life of humility and obedience to the will of GOD through a life of service to GOD and others.

Intercession plays a crucial part in the life of every practising Christian, as demonstrated by Mary throughout her earthly life. To understand how significant Mary's intercession is, we just have to look at the first documented miracle in the New Testament Bible - the wedding at Cana.

The newlyweds ran out of wine for the guests. Mary was aware of the situation and quickly informed JESUS about the situation, which prompted Him to perform a miracle - by transforming water into wine. John 2: 1-11

The Queen of Heaven is certainly a powerful intercessor before the Throne of Grace, presenting the needs of her spiritual children and all those who turn to her for help, not just Catholics.

We can see that intercessory prayer is therefore powerful before GOD and it should be part the makeup of every believer, as it is an act of charity towards others. Just as JESUS intercedes for us before the Eternal Father, likewise Mary intercedes for us before Her Divine Son, JESUS.

Another example can be seen when Abraham interceded for the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah, pleading to the LORD to spare the two cities if a certain number of righteous people could be found there. If GOD listens to the prayer of His righteous servants, let alone the prayer of the Queen of Heaven.

In the Far East, there is a growing number of non-Christian devotees [Hindus, Buddhists and even Muslims] turning to Mary, imploring her help in all kinds of needs- both temporal and spiritual. They call on her under the invocation of Mother of Perpetual Help, and many have reported her supernatural intervention.... viz. healing of terminal illnesses, spiritual healing, broken relationships and many others. Through her, many have discovered God's love for them.

It is important to be mindful that as Christians, we do not worship any human being, not even Mary. We only worship God. Period. There is a misconception among Christians that the Catholic communities worship Mary or idolize her. This is not the case.

Statues and paintings of religious people, saints or any individual for that matter, are just a way for a community to honor and respect these individuals. We want to remember them. ie. The statue of Abraham Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. Take this scenario for example - do we worship him? No. Likewise, Mary is venerated for her key role in the Church and as the spiritual Mother of all believers.

It's just like how we would keep digital photos of our loved ones in our smartphones today. But in those days, such technology did not exist.

A spiritual law exists where what you become aware of, that will become your reality. If you are aware that you have access to the intercession of the saints - including Mary, the Mother of GOD - this will work in your favor. Therefore, we should approach Mary boldly, presenting to her our supplications, trusting to her care, protection and intercession.

The power of reciting the full set of the Rosary:

One should recite at least one set of Mystery a day. However, if one can commit to the entire 3 sets of Mysteries all on the same day (ie. Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious), there is a special grace bestowed for your effort. There is power in praying the entire Rosary, as encouraged by St. Louis De Montfort.

All the promises of the Rosary will finally come into fulfilment when this is accomplished. You can read about the 15 promises at the end of this page. You will also start noticing changes in your life and the circumstances surrounding you. These have been testified by those who have devoted themselves into accomplishing this.

Devotion to the 5 First Saturdays

In light of Our Lady's request during her apparition in Fatima, Portugal in July of 1917, the faithful are encouraged to devote the Five First Saturdays of the month for reparation of sins of blasphemy and ingratitude committed against her Immaculate Heart. For details of how to do this, click on the link below.

Of all women God has chosen Mary to the the Mother of the Incarnate Word. The angel Gabriel announces to Mary: “Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with thee.” The Angel assures her: “Fear not . . . you shall conceive in your womb, and give birth to a Son.”, that she will conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit, and her Son will be called Jesus., the Son of the Most high. “How have I deserved that the mother of my Lord should come to me?”

“Blessed is she who believed that the Lord’s words to her would be fulfilled.”

Jesus enters the world in poverty to teach the lesson of detachment from earthly things.

The angel announces to the shepherds: “Today there is born to you in the town of David a Savior, Who is Christ the Lord.”

When Jesus is twelve years old, He goes with His parents to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. After the feast of the Passover, Joseph and Mary unknowingly set out for Nazareth without Jesus.

At the end of the first day’s journey they discover He is missing. They were anxious and grieved.

They set out to look for Him and on the third day, found Him in the Temple among the Doctors who were astonished at His wisdom.

Mary: “Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been searching for You in sorrow.”

Jesus: “Why did you search for Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

Mary keeps all these things in her heart.

1. then say, the Our Father.

2. Say 10 Hail Marys while meditating on the Mystery.

3. Say the 'Glory Be'

4. Say this prayer: O my loving Jesus, forgive us our sins; save us from the fire of hell. Bring all souls to Heaven especially those most in need of your mercy.

"There is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families ... that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary."
