BE BATTLE-READY

The Full Armor
It is vital, we - warriors in the LORD's army - put on the full armor of GOD to come against the demonic onslaught. The opposition we face in the End Times is of another level, unparalleled in human history. In a revelation made to Sister Clare, the LORD explains that, "These are not like the days gone by. These are days that only the strongest, the bravest, the most persevering, and the most pure of heart and motive will succeed." [A} In short, we need to be battle-ready. You can listen to the full Rhema here .
What is this Full Armor of GOD?
Paul, the Apostle outlined the Seven armors in his epistle to the Ephesians. Note that seven is also the number of completeness and perfection:

1. Belt of absolute Truth
2. Breastplate of Righteousness
3. Feet - prepared with the Gospel of Peace
4. Shield of faith
5. Helmet of salvation
6. Sword of the Spirit | the Word of GOD
7. Pray always in the Spirit
God's Word is alive and active, and you need to equip yourself with the Word to engage in spiritual battle. The Word of GOD is sharper than a double-edged sword, able to convict the thoughts and heart of men. Use it to cast down arguments that comes against the knowledge of God. The world system abhors Christian values. Words are powerful. We read in Genesis 1, God spoke the world into existence by His Words. We cannot please God if we walk in the flesh. We need to walk in the spirit. JESUS teaches that we have to speak from our spirit to see mountain move.
If you believe in your heart what you say with your mouth will come to pass, it shall be done. It does not matter what you think in your mind; it is what you believe in your heart that matters.

You are GOD's Special Forces, called to such a time as this, to war in the spirit, overcoming the darkness that is already in the world. In the army, Special Forces are a special breed of elite soldiers, the go-to unit whenever a nation wants to get a difficult mission accomplished. These soldiers are highly capable, motivated individuals, selfless with strong leadership skills, an uncanny ability to think on their feet, with a never-give-up mentality and can operate in less-than-ideal conditions, who will persevere even in difficult circumstances. They operate behind the scenes to get their assigned mission accomplished.

Likewise, prayer warriors. Our battles are fought in our prayer closet, away from the eyes of the world. You are to be that extremely bright light for CHRIST, warring with the sword of love as you embark on this extraordinary mission to bring in the Final Harvest. Bro. Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj explains, "The Last Days armies are the nobodies who will do exploits for the LORD."

The urgency of the times we are in now is reflected in this Rhema from the LORD to a chosen soul in Sep 2020:
" A clarion call turns into a war cry. The battle intensifies and my children see it not, but they shall soon experience it as the enemy waste no more time in delivering blows and attacks on those who are mine. You must learn to war in the Spirit as you press forward towards my Kingdom. Take your sword and shield and proclaim victory for Me. Overcome the wiles of the devil and overcome the darkness that has come over you. I call all to war in the Spirit. I have given you all the power over the enemy but few understand. I call all out to be prayer warriors now. My army... ARISE and take back what has been stolen from you. Wake up, Church. Fight the good fight of Faith. "

The weapons of warfare
In addition to putting on the full armor, we also need to know how to use the 'weapons of warfare' to come against the enemy. Here are some of the tactics we could use to engage the enemy:
1. Praising and worshipping the LORD. Some of the great battles are won this way. The LORD's army will fight the battle for you.
2. Plead the Precious Blood of JESUS. Proclaim, plead and apply.
3. Bind, cast out, or to loose.
4. Break strongholds and curses
5. Rebuke and resist all forms of witchcraft
6. Proclaim and declare God's Word out loud
7. Proclaim your position or identity in Christ

When David confronted Goliath - a Philistine giant from the bloodline of the Nephilim - in the valley of Elah, he is not intimidated by his size, for he knows he did not enter the battlefield alone. God walks with him. His faith in the LORD is strong and unwavering. When we walk in righteousness, we should be bold. Goliath was defeated with a single strike, and killed.
We too, need to be strong in our faith when we confront the 'Goliaths' of our time. The good news is GOD is with us. Padre Pio gave this advice when we are in a spiritual battle , “Jesus is always with you, even when you don’t feel his presence. He is never so close to you as he is during your spiritual battles. He is always there, close to you, encouraging you to fight the good fight; he is there to ward off the enemy’s blows so you won’t be hurt.”
Remember that GOD is in control of the situation we are in.

The enemy's tactics
1. While the enemy has many tricks up his sleeve, one of his deadliest strategies is inflicting offense in the heart of believers. We might find that at times, we might become over-sensitive by what people say about us; we get easily offended by the way people look at us, or because of our social standing and so on.
JESUS warns that in the Last Days, many will be offended, that there will also be widespread betrayal and hatred towards one another. The enemy's goal is to split believers and paralyse our spiritual growth by creating stagnation, because he knows a house divided will fall.

To overcome this, we have to develop a defense strategy by not allowing ourselves ever be offended by anyone and in any situation. Pray for this grace. In fact, those who cannot overcome this would suffer its consequences. Physical manifestations like chronic or terminal illnesses are often related to those harboring bitterness, unforgiveness, hatred and anger in their heart.
This also explains why some people - though baptised years ago - cannot mature and progress spiritually because their spiritual development was 'stunted' at the point in their life when they were traumatised. We can certainly relate to this from our personal experience and those we know who are in this situation.

The solution: Decide this day that you are not going to allow the enemy gain a foothold over your life by living in unforgiveness, or hold grudges/bitterness against anyone. Refuse to become a victim of offense. Walk with an attitude of forgiveness; learn from the LORD : Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. Pastor Kynan Bridges teaches on the importance of developing a good defense against any offense, which you can find here.

2. Another tactic of the enemy is instilling fear through deception. Fear of loss of income, fear of those who have certain degree of control over us, fear of the dark, fear of failures, fear of our enemies, fear of getting betrayed ...the list goes on. Fear has a paralyzing effect on believers and the enemy uses it to his advantage. When a person gives in to the spirit of fear, the person cannot think straight and operate without trusting in the LORD. However dire a situation might seem, GOD is in total control. The enemy is trying to deceive us to think otherwise. Here, we have to be like a lion and stand our ground. A lion does not give in to anyone. Proclaim the Word of God over your situation. Whatever our fear is, we need to break this stronghold. Ask the Holy Spirit to break it.
This fear refers to our irrational fear, not so much the reverential fear of GOD. It is a result of lack of trust in GOD. Learn to overcome it by being firmly grounded in the Word of GOD; for knowledge of the GOD's Truth dispel fear. It is a strategy of the enemy that is rooted in a lie, for the devil is the father of lies. It is false evidence appears real, and it is not from God.
Your mind is the battlefield of your spiritual warfare, and the enemy attacks through temptation, deception, imagery and suggestions. Use the Word of God - which is, the sword of the Spirit- to disarm him. "The enemy knows what you are afraid of has power over you," explains pastor Kynan Bridges.
Through fear, the enemy attempts to disarm you. He knows if you walk in faith and love, you are powerful. So he will broadcast his lies to your consciousness through unfounded fear the opposite of what God says.

The devil fools us even now through the new priests of the world: television journalists, who want you to think what they think. So they present only the news that is only their opinion. They twist the truth and you are hypnotised, manipulated into believing them ...
- Fr Michel Rodrigue | Apostle of the End Times; exorcist
It's nothing personal
One thing to note that the enemy's assault on the Body of Christ -that's all of us, Christians - is nothing personal. GOD cannot be conquered and because of this, the enemy will turn his assaults on His people instead.
Therefore, arm in your heart with the Word of GOD, for the Word is Spirit and life. Memorise and meditate on it day and night. Be firmly grounded in the Word by proclaiming it over your life and your situations. Whatever situation you are facing, do not fear, for "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
Stay vigilant, and more importantly, we must learn to 'see' with our spiritual eyes and 'hear' with our spiritual ears to the voice of our Commander, the Lord JESUS. He will guide us if you seek Him earnestly. Therefore, ask the LORD to enlighten the eyes of our understanding by saying this Prayer ardently daily until you receive it. The sooner your spiritual eyes and ears are opened, the safer you are in manoeuvring through this spiritual battlefield.

An Irish exorcist once gave this advice, "Measure your love for God by the amount of fear in your heart." This statement is profound because if you love GOD with all your heart, all your soul, mind and strength, then there is no fear, for perfect love casts out all fears , even when coming against the enemy face-to-face.

Therefore, go forth. Do mighty exploits for the LORD who has given us the kingdom authority and power over the enemy of salvation. This kingdom authority is closely tied to your intimacy with the LORD. The deeper your relationship, the greater the authority. Thus, spending quality time with the LORD is of the utmost importance.
Kynan Bridges explains that, "There is no authority without intimacy." Understand and recognise this authority in you. The very nature of spiritual warfare means we do not fight this battle alone. GOD is with His people.

Pray for a discerning heart
As mentioned, one of the enemy's weapons of choice is deception. It is important that we test the Spirit as Scripture tells us not everyone we encounter possess the Spirit of God in them. If a person claims to be a servant of God, ask yourself - is what this person say and do align with the teachings of Christ? Does the person's life bears fruits of the Spirit?

Not all spiritual activities are from God. Sometimes, certain actions by people may appear to be of 'good intentions' but in actual fact, have hidden agendas or evil motives. We usually make our judgment call by what we see externally, but God sees the true intentions of the hearts of men - both good and evil intentions.
We need this Gift of discernment of spirits - the ability to see with the eyes of the Spirit. And we can ask the LORD for this Gift.

You can say this prayer for this Gift. Say it daily until you possess it:
Father God, I worship You with my whole being. Once again, I surrender myself to You because you are My Creator. I love You and I trust You. I extend my hands upward, asking for more of your Holy Spirit. In particular, I surrender my physical and spiritual eyes to you, and I ask for an increase of your gifting and anointing.
I ask you directly for the ability to see with new eyes. I want to have visions, and I ask You to help me understand them. As I read your Word, feed me with the food of the mature.
Increase the spirit of wisdom and revelation in me so that I can see what you see. I want to be more effective for Your purposes.
By the grace of God, I believe that I will receive an increase of visions, dreams and glimpses of your glory. I receive whatever You want to give me, in the name of your Son Jesus.
AMEN.
We can also ask someone who is already operating in this Gift to impart it by praying over us.

Standing in the gap | The call for Intercessors
We are called to be Intercessors in these Last Days, to pray without ceasing day and night, interceding for the nations/people of the land - imploring God's mercy on impending judgments on the land. The power of intercession cannot be undermined. In a message to Sister Clare in Oct 2015, the LORD explains, "There is no more active role than to pray. You are at the centre of the wheel and as such, reach out to the whole world through the spokes, all the way to the rim. If you were on the rim - as those in the field - you could not influence all as you can do from the centre. Could there be a more sublime place? No, there is no place as sublime as intercession. Your prayers direct the course of history."

As mentioned, intercession is an important part of our Christian life and the duty of every believer. As JESUS intercedes for us before the Eternal Father, likewise we are to intercede for our brothers, our nation, and all those whom the LORD has called to mind. This is charity.
We find in Exodus 32:9-14, Moses stood in the gap for the Israelites when God pronounced judgment on them for their disobedience and pride. He implored the LORD's mercy, persuaded Him to reconsider His decision and in the end, the LORD relented. Such is the power of intercession. Therefore, position yourself as an intercessor.

JESUS is both a King and a High Priest - two roles in one. As a High Priest, He intercedes for us - the body of Christ - before the Father, standing in the gap for God's people. Likewise, we follow his footsteps by doing the same for our nation and those whom the LORD has called to mind.

As intercessors, also be mindful that we have access to all the Saints in Heaven to intercede for us. We can invoke their help because of their authority - each entrusted with a different level of authority before the LORD. They are there to help us on our spiritual journey and this is part of GOD's design.
For the Catholic community, they would invoke the help of Mary, Mother of GOD, St. Joseph, St. Pio of Pietrelcina among others, including St. Michael the archangel. Here lies the power of intercession. This is not idolatry, as some would suggest. As Christians, we worship only GOD. The Apostle Paul also encourages such practice and specifically mentioned this in Ephesian 6:18 [...supplication for the saints] We also need to understand the concept of authority and how this works.

In Ezekiel 22:30, we discover that GOD searches the land for intercessors, seeking for willing souls who would stand in the gap for the nation, to avert His judgment. Prayer is not about us. It is therefore an important calling to be intercessors. Before we can fulfill this role effectively, there are a few things we need to know:
1. We must first be righteous and holy ourselves, practising daily repentance. The apostle James tells us that, 'The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
2. When we come before the LORD in prayer, there is proper protocol to be observed. Yes, we can pray at anytime during the day. But there are also 'official Divine appointments' during certain time of the day that we arranged are reserved for the LORD, as well as the Sabbath day. It is advisable that we have a set time each day to come before the LORD - our appointment with Him. We keep the appointed time by showing up on time. If we fix 9PM everyday, then we stick to the same timing everyday.

As intercessors, our incense need to smell 'right'. Love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, self-control…. the fruits of the Spirit. These, joined with the incense of your prayers, fulfill all the requirements of GOD.
Who you have become determine the smell of the incense of your prayer.
- Rev. Neville Johnson
Purity of Intention
Be mindful that our intention has to be pure, for GOD looks at the intentions of our heart. Ask yourself: is there any hidden agenda why you take certain course of action, or are you doing it for His glory or for the good of others? People can appear generous outwardly by donating money to charity, but it can be fruitless before GOD if the real agenda behind it is to win public support for their own selfish motives. Therefore, we must always analyse our real intention, that our motives must be right before GOD.

Likewise as an intercessor, our focus is on GOD's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all those whom the LORD has called to mind [targeted intercession]. We do not pray for our own needs. Scripture tells us by putting GOD's Kingdom and His righteousness first, all these other things that we need shall be given unto us. There is a certain level of abandonment required on the part of the believers, trusting in the LORD to provide. He knows our needs.

During your prayer time with the LORD, it is also necessary to observe proper protocol of worship out of respect and reverence for the LORD. When we come before Him, we kneel down in humility and fear of the LORD [for those who cannot kneel, may choose to sit instead but do not lie down while praying.], being mindful that we are coming before the Almighty GOD, the Creator of All Things seen and unseen, and we are merely a creation - a speck in His vast universe.

End-Times warfare
The warfare in the Last Days will be fought on a whole new level where different strategies are required. GOD is re-equipping us with new level of understanding. What works in the past may not work in the upcoming battle. 'We need targeted intercession,' says pastor Neville Johnson.
"We have to move from praying in the 'outer court' and go a little deeper in our prayer life. Outer court prayer is all about Me... Me.... Me....and it is not good enough for what's ahead. Then, why are you praying for those things? Firstly, prayer is not all about us. Stop praying for yourself and your needs. Start first to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and walk in it and everything else will be added onto you. This is a different lifestyle altogether - it is the Kingdom lifestyle ".
We need to grow up in our prayer life - from being a baby to a mature Christian; from drinking milk to eating solid foods. We need the true prophets to speak into us the 'target' of our intercession. Targeted intercession turns impossible battle into victory." Our prayer should be, "Lord, what do you want done?" We ask everything according to His Will. And when you know that, start declaring you have the right and authority to speak it into being. Our prayer life has to change.

Pray without ceasing
As prayer warriors, our prayer is powerful. Our prayer life need to evolve from devotional prayer to pray without ceasing. 'Devotional prayer' refers to praying certain set prayer for short period of 10-15 minutes, whereas praying without ceasing is like 'prayer marathon' where we offer prayer 'round the clock. We can apportion 1 hour sessions and short chants between work throughout the course of the day, forming a continuous prayer cycle. Prayer marathon can also take the form of prayer groups, where believers form a network of prayer warriors around the world, praying in solidarity for specific intentions.

GOD in His wisdom, has His system of governance on how prayers are answered, which are beyond our understanding. If we do not pray, He cannot intervene with our human affairs. After the Fall - when Adam and Eve sinned - the earth has become the domain of the devil and his minions. There are spiritual battles going on all the time in the heavens and this affect how and when prayers are answered. This truth is documented in Daniel 10:13 when an angel of the LORD was held back upon entering earth by the evil spirits of the Persian land - the kings of Persia - causing a three-week delay in delivering the message from God to Daniel.
We should therefore persevere just like Daniel did UNTIL our prayer is heard. Sorry to say this, but the gentleman's way of praying by imploring God once or twice [instead of persistently] does not work. We have to keep knocking and knocking on Heaven's door pray ardently and persistently offering prayer and supplication - day in, day out, UNTIL we receive a breakthrough; until GOD respond, 'What do you want?'
Most give up too soon before their prayers are answered. They expect God to operate by their terms - in an instant. Persistence pays off. We wait on GOD until we receive an answer or a clear confirmation.

Praying in Oneness
Oneness is key in hearing from GOD. Bro. Sadhu elucidates, "When your soul [the essence of who you are] and your spirit man unites in oneness with the Holy Spirit, you will experience the manifestation of the LORD JESUS in your midst." In other words, the three elements must come together to become one. This is also one of the main reasons why many are not hearing from the LORD - their mind is not focused on the now, fully conscious of their spirit man and the presence of the Holy Spirit in their midst; their mind sidetracked. When we pray, it is important that our mind do not multi-task, getting distracted thinking of various other things, our work or tasks to do later on, recreation etc. This is not easy and it takes practice and discipline to train yourself to be fully present in one place.
When JESUS says 'You shall love the Lord GOD will all your heart, all your soul and all your mind," He is also implying that you must come into this oneness.
A good analogy of this Truth can be seen when trying to start a fire with a magnifying glass. If you focus the sunlight through the magnifying glass focused on a single point, the strength and energy the light generates is strong enough to start a fire. But if the glass is not focused, the energy is compromised and nothing happens.
Fasting, praying and penance
In certain types of spiritual warfare, praying and fasting are both required to deliver effective results. This truth can be seen in Mark 9:29 when the disciples asked the LORD why they cannot cast out a certain dumb and deaf spirit from a possessed person. He explained both praying and fasting are required for this kind of spirit. Fr Michel Rodrique - an exorcist - explains fasting destroys the works of the devil. Prayer and fasting should form the habit of a prayer warrior. If possible, fast at least twice or three times a week. This helps to strengthen the spirit.

Matters that relate to a nation's future, breakthroughs in our spiritual life, or the fate of certain leaders that the LORD called to mind, all these need serious intercession, and that occasional prayers we offer will not make the cut. We need the both volume and intensity - obtained through praying unceasingly and fasting - to deliver the results required. It calls for a prayer marathon.
We can also form prayer group to offer prayer round-the-clock for a particular intention. We do not stop until we see the results. In other words, pray until something happens.
Bible tells us there is power in praying as a community - ie. prayer groups - as written in Matthew 18:19. Prayer warriors need to stay united with other brethren - the Body of Christ - because a house divided will fall. We can see how this is played out in nature when a pack of wolves plan their attack on a herd of moose. The pack will attempt to divide the herd in an ambush, separating the prey and identifying the 'weakest link'. The one that separates itself from the herd will be cornered and attacked. Our prayer is powerful; do not ever doubt this. The enemy would want us to think otherwise.

Another aspect of a prayer warrior's duty is to do penance. This calls for sacrifices on our part done out of love for others. When we encounter trials, sufferings and difficulties in life, we can offer up to GOD as redemptive sufferings to save souls. We willingly submit to GOD's authority letting our sufferings be used to save souls in our community and in the world. This way, trials in life do not end in vain but can be offered up for the benefit of other souls, even for those we do not know or met before. Because of our charity, a soul might be touched by GOD's grace in a manner we do not understand.

During our prayer time, it is essential to develop a good communication and intimacy with the LORD. In fact, our personal prayer time takes precedence over all the other prayer activities. We rest in Him, meditate on the Word of God while receiving directions from Him, listening to Rhemas and open to visions.
JESUS is the vine, and we are the branches. We cannot give what we do not have. Scriptures speak "Abide in the Lord and He will abide in you." As the situations in the spiritual battlefields are ever-changing, the ability to discern His voice is key. Discernment can be explained with this analogy: it is liken to receiving a call from a loved one or friend over the phone. At times, this person does not even need to greet us by name. Yet, the way he/she addresses us or the tone of the person's voice is good enough to identify who the person is. Likewise, it is the same with the Lord.

Ask the Holy Spirit for this Gift, which the LORD freely gives to all those who ask. The sooner we acquire this gift, the safer we are. The LORD elucidates to a chosen soul that, "every step should be carefully placed with much thought and prayer. Do nothing outside My will and consult Me on everything. This is how you walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh."

Obedience is spiritual warfare
One of the most important attributes of spiritual warfare is implicit obedience - to carry out whatever tasks the living God require of us. This is an absolute, unconditional, no-questions-asked attitude. Just like a soldier who follows the commands of his superior without questioning, prayer warriors are to respond in the same manner. Obedience is to submit ourselves to God's leadership. We are called to be Gideon's 300 chosen warriors.
Our obedience to God will also be tested. As we cannot see what our inner man is made of - our character, only through testing will we know where we stand; whether we are faithful to God or not. Our forefather Abraham was also tested when God asked him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. JESUS too was tested in the desert before He started His public ministry.

An example of this implicit obedience can be seen in a wedding event in Cana, where JESUS attended with His disciples and His mother. At one point, the bridegroom run out of wine. Mary prompted the LORD on the situation and then instructed the servants to 'do whatever He tells them."
JESUS gave them instructions on what exactly they need to do, and it became the 1st public miracle that He performed by He turning water into wine.
Disobedience - on the other hand -carries a heavy penalty. This truth is well-documented in Scripture. In 1 Kings 13:1, it relates a story of how a man of God from Judah is given a specific order from God, which he did not follow through, resulting in a tragedy.

Bro. Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj in his book 'Elijah is coming', pointed out that we can learn from the prophet Elijah what it means to be obedient to the LORD:
1. We do not get to choose. We do whatever we are instructed by the LORD to execute.
2. We do not care about our own reputation. At times, the things we are asked to do require us to forget ourselves and our reputation. Nevertheless, for God's sake, we do it.
3. We do not care about our own life. The Last Days generation adopts a die-hard attitude in executing their Divine assignments, trusting GOD will protect us. In certain situations, this may cost us our lives. Whatever challenges that come against us, we place our complete trust in the LORD, for He is the Master and Commander, and He knows what is best.
4. No room for insecurity. When the time comes for Elijah to anoint Elisha as the 'replacement prophet', he did not hesitate, protest or feel insecure about it. In fact, he went out of his way to look for him. Even when Elisha requested for a double-portion of his spirit, he did not feel jealous or upset. Instead, he rejoiced at his successor's wise choice.

The exorcist Fr Gabriele Amorth - who performed an estimated 70,000 exorcisms over the course of 29 years - explained that, " one should not feel humiliated by this act of submission. It is an act of fidelity to the truth for which we are created by GOD - which is to love Him. This attitude does not humiliate us, because it does not infer a lack of something; rather, it reflects a fullness. The good angels, for example, have continued to be faithful to their nature, which refers them directly to GOD the Creator, the One who has inscribed in creation the laws that He considers best for the good of the creature."

YOUR DIET IS NOT ONLY WHAT YOU EAT ...
It is also what you watch, what you listen to, who and what you follow on Social Media, the people you hang out with. Basically, things you subject your mind and soul to.
Be mindful of what goes into your body - emotionally, spiritually and physically.
Watch your 'Diet'
An important consideration on our spirituality is our diet. Here, I do not mean the food we consume but all the other things we subject our body and mind to....viz. the programs we watch, the people we follow on Social Media, the friends we mix with, and so on.... Whatever we do in the flesh affects our spirit man and our soul.
If we would go to great lengths to maintain a healthy diet, ensuring we are always at our optimum wellbeing, likewise our spirit man which need daily spiritual sustenance that only the Word of GOD can provide. You will also find on this site a collection of useful online resources that can help us grow spiritually. You can find them here.
If we can accept that cancer cells are harmful to our body and can kill if they become out of control, then we should be able to comprehend that sin - the contaminant of the soul - has a similar effect when it goes unrepented. It is toxic to our spirit man, and need to be get rid of.
As the saying goes, 'You are what you eat'. As one would not subject one's body to toxic foods, likewise, we must never subject our soul to anything that is harmful. Therefore, guard the doorway to your heart by guarding your eyes and ears.
God acts on His Word
Whatever situation you find yourself in - especially when in dire straits - declare the WORD of God over your situation with strong faith and conviction that God will act on it.
ie. With the current pandemic that is still raging in the world today, the enemy - the devil - is inflicting fear on humanity. We can declare the Word of GOD this way:
Fear does not come from GOD; for it is written, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
We can further back this up by reciting Psalm 91.
This is spiritual warfare. The threat is real; the danger is real; so is God's protection, which is equally real for those who believe with faith and place their complete trust in Him. If we truly believe Christ lives in us, His glory shall manifest through us, in a manner where no pestilence or danger shall stand in His presence.
Also ask the LORD to enhance and integrate all your senses with this prayer,
Here I am, Lord. Take me! Enlighten the eyes of my heart. Open my eye to the magnificence of Your kingdom." [B]
It is advisable to pray the above verse everyday until it manifests in our life. At times, we might also become weary in this battle, when the enemy's assaults seem unending; the temptation to give up appears great. The enemy seeks to discourage us through lies, deception, sabotaging our lives.
Do not give up! Do not give up! As the going gets tough, do not quit! Press on. Ask the LORD for strength and courage to persevere until the end. The LORD is just a prayer away. Seek Him for strength, direction and support. For He [Holy Spirit] who is in you is greater than he [satan] that is in the world.

Spiritual warfare is a broad subject and as followers of JESUS, we are constantly learning from the Word of God, His true prophets and the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is a process that involves a lifetime of learning, as we move from glory to glory.
We can't master this on our own for God's Ways are not men's ways. What God requires of us is a willing spirit and implicit obedience - that unconditional obedience - to do His Will for us. It calls for a complete surrender on our part - not my will but God's Will be done through us.

The sooner we acquire the necessary wisdom and understanding, the safer we are as we manoeuvre through the spiritual battlefields. Scripture tells us that God's people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. They choose to be ignorant to His Commandments, to His Ways. Therefore, we do need to spend quality time with the LORD everyday, to hear from Him directly as He guides us personally through His Holy Spirit.

Fear of the LORD :
As followers of CHRIST, it is a good thing to have a healthy fear of the LORD instilled in our heart. When one day we come to the end of our earthly life, we will be judged by GOD by the way we lead our life. All men - whether one is a believer or not - will be judged by GOD. Even if a person does not believe in a God or a Supreme Being, that does not rule out His existence.
Matthew 10:28 reminds us not to fear those who kill the body but not the soul, but fear the One - in His justice and righteousness - who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
One of the greatest deception of the enemy is convincing the world there is no God. When one believe this lie, it diminishes the fear of the LORD and the consequences of sin. This is one of the main causes of evil in our society today when perpetrators think they can get away with their crime with impunity.
