Consecration Prayer to St. Michael,
the Archangel
O St. Michael the archangel,
Most noble Prince of the Angelic hierarchies,
Valorous Warrior of Almighty God,
and zealous lover of His Glory,
terror of the rebellious angels,
and love and delight of all the just,
desiring to be numbered among thy devoted servants,
I, today offer and consecrate myself to thee, and place myself, my family and all I possess under thy most powerful protection.
I entreat thee not to look at how little, I ,
as thy servant have to offer, being only a wretched sinner, but rather gaze, with favorable eye, at the heartfelt affection with which this offering is made.
Remember that, if from this day onwards, I am under thy patronage, thou must assist me during all my life and procure for me the pardon of my many sins, and the grace to love God, my dear Savior Jesus, and my sweet Mother Mary with all my heart.
Obtain for me the necessary help to arrive at my crown of glory.
Defend me always from my spiritual enemies, particularly in the last moments of my life.
Come then, O Glorious Prince. Assist me in my last struggle.
With thy powerful weapon cast far from me and into the infernal abyss that prevaricator and proud angel that thou prostrated in the celestial battle.
St Michael, defend us in our daily battles so that we may not perish in the Last Judgment.

Who is St. Michael?
St Michael in the Christian tradition, is one of the Archangels on the hierarchy of 9 choirs of angels . He is a knight-warrior in GOD's army - the 'prince of all the angels' .
Its origin from the Hebrew name Mikha'el means 'who is like GOD ?' and holds the following key functions:
1. to wage war against Satan and all the fallen angels
2. to save souls from the power of Satan , especially at the hour of death
3. to protect the people of GOD - both the Jewish community of the Old Covenant and Christians of the New Covenant
4. to lead souls from this life to the next, to present them before the LORD for a particular judgment

O Glorious St Michael,
Valiant defender and protector.
We humbly seek your intercession and guidance;
In your mighty presence we find solace and strength;
to face the challenges that beset us.

Archangel of courage,
Wielder of the celestial sword;
stand by our side in our daily battle against darkness and evil.

Grant us the fortitude to withstand temptation;
wisdom to discern right from wrong.
​
Blessed St Michael,
Beacon of light in times of tribulation;
Shield us with your heavenly protection.
May your unwavering strength empower us to overcome adversity,
and to walk the path of righteousness.

Intercede for us before the Throne of grace;
that we may be granted mercy and grace.
O heavenly archangel,
Defender of faith;
We entreat you to guide our steps;
Guard our hearts and lead us closer to the Divine light of our LORD.
